Crawford Academy of Law Foundation
The Crawford Academy Foundation was created to financially support the Academy of Law in areas where our funding is either limited by the terms or our grant or is insufficient to meet our needs. Our main areas of need include the following:
-
9th Grade Pre-Academy - In 2015-16, the Academy of Law opened a 9th grade Pre-Academy to help recruit students into the Academy. The 9th Grade progam is operated in conjunction with the San Diego Police Department's STAR/PAL program. Donations to the Academy Foundation support 9th grade student field trips to the UCSC ropes course and the Museum of Tolerance.
-
Student Recognition & Motivation – The Academy hosts an annual awards assembly and a special end of the year banquet to recognize academic success and celebrate the accomplishments of our students. Donations to the Academy Foundation would help support scholarships awarded to students for outstanding academic achievement and community service.
-
Educational Field Trips – We would like to be able to take Academy students to museums, entertainment parks and on tours of college campuses outside of San Diego County in order to further encourage and motivate our students while exposing them to new experiences.
If you or your organization would like to donate to the Crawford Foundation, please contact Foundation Chair, Sandra Chong, at schong@sandi.net.
