Steve Luttbeg

 

Mr. Luttbeg is a 1965 graduate of Crawford High School and a 1971 graduate of the Creighton University School of Law. He practiced law for 25 years and owned and operated a construction business for 10 years. He came out of retirement to teach at Crawford in 2010. His wife, of 45 years, Linda holds a Masters degree in education. His son David holds a Juris Doctor degree from the USD School of Law. Daughter Lisa holds a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of New Mexico. Steve has two beautiful grandaughters, Hannah and Lila, of which he is very proud. He retired for the second time in 2015 after five years of teaching law at Cawford High School. However, despite his retirement from classroom teaching, Mr. Luttbeg continues to work with Academy students and the SDUSD in an effort to expand the use of restorative practices throughout the District. He also continues to volunteer as a Teen Court trainor and judge with SAY San Diego.
