Sandra T.M. Chong, Advisory Board Chair

 

Since 2002, Sandra T.M. Chong has been Assistant General Counsel for San Diego Unified School District, where she provides day to day and general legal advice in all aspects of education law, including facilities, real estate, charters, labor & employment, student issues, and complex business transactions.  Prior to joining the District, she worked in two private law firms handling civil litigation.  She graduated from UC Davis Law School and UC San Diego.  She is the recipient of the 2007 San Diego Metropolitan Magazine’s “40 under 40” as a topic business and community leader.  In 2013, Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego and Filipino Lawyers of San Diego recognized her as “Attorney of the Year.”  Ms. Chong serves as Immediate Past Chair of the Advisory Board (2010-2015) and is the current Chair of the Foundation (2013-Present) that supports the law academy.
